For many people who remember Trax In Space, it is remembered as a place where people who loved music and people who loved to make music had a place to call home. It had pieces that sites such as MySpace, iTunes and even Facebook mimic today. The site, which had its roots as early as 1993 was shutdown in 2001. But now it is coming back...
To its founders, Trax In Space is still very important. It was a place to escape to, to listen to great music, to find new music you never knew even existed and most importantly to make friends. I know that I owe many friendships to Trax In Space, and these friendships have stood the test of time.
But now it is time for a rebirth. While online music has made great strides since Trax In Space, it still has not fulfilled its promise. With time comes learning and change. Through the new Trax In Space, I hope to fulfill the promise that Trax In Space held - to bring music into people's lives, to help musicians become better musicians and to help people make lasting connections through music.

We can accomplish many things through music. Friendship is one of them. Indeed, Trax In Space was much more than just a site, it was a worthy cause. And I'm glad it's back!

I'm definitely looking forward to sinking my teeth into the new Trax in Space. Here's hoping it will be at least a fraction as much fun as the previous incarnation.

I'm looking forwards to this. I know that many music-communities still thrive on the basis of what TIS1 did in the past. Modplug.com, CTGmusic.com and Modarchive.com, are the biggest communities that got their users from the TIS-community in the past. Even though many of the old users dont make music anymore, or are releasing their songs commercially, I still believe that this site is going to be as overwhelming as it once was.
Don't know if you ever got my e-mail a few weeks ago Saurin, but you can certainly count me in with the new TiS. I'm still doing music after all these years.
I was just checking out the Wiki page on Trax and it was kind of funny to see my name in there. Didn't think I'd ever find myself on Wiki ;)
I've been waiting for TiS to return for ages and now the long wait is finally coming to an end. The rebirth will be a new revolution for all trackers and musicians alike. A new community, a new beginning.

Well, let's hope Trax In Space will be even better than it was before. I had a great time on TiS before (as Tricrokra), and maybe I can relive the old times again.
We were totally excited when we noticed TiS is coming back! The root, the first an best music site we ever released music on!

Well, I for one am dying here, waiting for the new TiS. I keep checking every few days in the hopes that some day I'll be able to relive the 'glory days'. Even though modarchive has been getting better, and there's still United Trackers and other sites, I've never been able to find the sense of community and friendship online that I had at TiS. I used to spend literally hours every day on TiS downloading and reviewing music, and I can't wait until I can do that once more. Nothing has been able to fill that void in my life, where Trax In Space once held pride of place...
But soon (hopefully very soon), it will return, bigger and better than ever!

Wow, it's amazing to see all these comments from people I remember and respect from the old TiS site. I'm *really* looking forward to the new site. The lack of a community site like this to keep me inspired and to give me feedback has really made my music activity level decrease.
Here's hoping we can reestablish old friendships and build a musical community to stand the test of time.

No support for MP3 releases please. If the scene's going to grow, TiS needs to introduce people to the tracker way of creating music.
Noone might believe this , but having traxinspace back again was 1 of my dreams lately.i`ve had remindfull moments with traxinspace .I hope it`s going to be Tracker based site again .not just a site with bunch of mp3s...
